Encouragement Can come in many forms....

I took a chance and applied for a job that I figured would be out of my league but because of the encouragement of my friends, my kids and especially my husband. . . I was offered the job today at my interview.

Encouragement comes in many forms. I have a former co-worker of mine who is a dear friend who is battling breast cancer. She posted this on Facebook today

We are in need of knitted or sewn caps, hats and scarves for our Chemotherapy and Radiation patients here at MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando. The side effects of treatment often causes patients to loose their hair. We would be extremely grateful for any handmade hats or scarves that our cancer patients can benefit from. These items provide confidence, beauty, and comfort to patients during their fight against cancer. We are Orlando Health pride ourselves on putting our patients first, providing comfort and care when it matters most.

As you can see encouragement can come in many forms. So I dug out my looms and shall knit while I am sitting in the stands at soccer practice. I will knit while I am at cheerleading practice. I will knit to "Pay it forward" for the one who gave me the encouragement to step out of my comfort zone and apply for a job and in turn provide encouragement to those who need it the most.

I found a pattern online that I will share. If any of you are crafty and would like to help me spread the seeds of encouragement with me, please email me and I will give you all the details. Please join me in my quest to provide encouragement, comfort and care to patients who need support to fight!
